Flow into Stillness: Meditative Playing for Steel Tongue Drum

  • Concentric Circles of Healing Pte. Ltd. 23 Kampong Bahru Road, Blair House #03-03 169349 Singapore (map)

Rhythm is one of the oldest tools humans have used to regulate internal states. When we play rhythmically with intention, the nervous system responds: the breath slows, the mind quiets, the focus improves, and something that felt locked begins to loosen. Learning to play rhythmically is learning to access that process on your own terms.

This two-hour workshop introduces steel tongue drum (Rav Moon) as an instrument for meditative practice. In a small, supportive group, you will learn simple ways to create a steady pulse, listen more closely, and use rhythm as active meditation practice.

Through a progressive, hands-on approach, we will explore the fundamental techniques for steel tongue drum playing and a set of meditative patterns. Each pattern will be broken down into approachable steps, with time for guided practice and self-exploration.

This workshop is beginner-friendly, and is suitable for yoga teachers, meditation facilitators, wellness practitioners, and anyone curious about rhythm as a meditative practice. Steel tongue drums (Rav Moon) will be provided. No prior experience is required.
